Crossover Steering Kit with 7/8" JMX Rod Ends

$472.99

This universal crossover steering kit gives fabricators everything needed to build a heavy-duty high-steer tie rod and drag link: JMX 7/8" rod ends, 1.5" OD x .250"-wall 1026 DOM tubing, wrench-flat tube adapters, jam nuts, and high-misalignment spacers. The JMX joints use a heat-treated steel race with a Teflon-coated ball for tighter tolerances and less wear than stainless-ball heims. Because you cut the tube to length, it fits solid-axle Jeeps and one-ton swaps where factory-length links flex or fail.

Features

  • JMX 7/8" rod ends: 3/4" bore for the tie rod, 7/8" bore for the drag link
  • Heat-treated steel races with Teflon-coated balls resist wear
  • 1.5" OD x .250" wall 1026 DOM tubing: 48" drag link and 54" tie rod blanks
  • Builds a drag link up to 54" and a tie rod up to about 59-60"
  • Wrench-flat 7/8"-14 tpi tube adapters and jam nuts for fast toe changes
  • 7/8"-to-3/4" high-misalignment spacers for the drag link
  • Made in the USA

It requires high-steer arms (sold separately) plus cutting, welding, and reaming the pitman arm to 3/4"; 3/4" mounting bolts are also separate since lengths vary by build. Mount it on the Ultimate Dana 60 Aluminum High Steer Arms, or grab the Superduty-specific version for Ford knuckle arms. Going hydro? Crossover Steering Kit with 7/8" JMX Rod Ends FAQs

What do I need besides this kit?

High-steer arms are required and sold separately, along with 3/4" mounting bolts since lengths vary by application. Your pitman arm gets reamed to 3/4", the DOM tube is cut to your measured lengths, and the tube adapters are welded in — basic fabrication skills required.

How long can the tie rod and drag link be?

The included 54" tube supports a tie rod up to about 59-60" overall, and the 48" tube builds a drag link up to about 54". Measure knuckle-to-knuckle and pitman-arm-to-knuckle distances on your axle before ordering to confirm coverage.

What makes JMX rod ends different?

JMX joints use a heat-treated steel race with a Teflon-coated ball rather than a stainless ball, which gives tighter tolerances and slower wear. The kit supplies 3/4" bores at the tie rod and 7/8" bores at the drag link, with high-misalignment spacers to preserve steering articulation.
