Rear Coil Correction Kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ & LJ 1997-2006

$175.99

Lift a Jeep Wrangler TJ and the factory rear coil seats no longer sit square under the springs — the coils bow, lean, and can unseat when the suspension flexes. The Artec TJ Rear Coil Correction Kit attacks the geometry problem at its source: CNC laser-cut, CNC-bent 3/16" steel brackets re-index the lower spring seat so the coil stands straight at any lift height. Modeled from Chrysler CAD data for the TJ/LJ frame, the kit also lets you choose between welding in at the stock axle location or taking a 1" rear stretch for a longer, more stable wheelbase on the climbs.

Features

  • CNC laser-cut and bent from 3/16" steel — far stouter than the factory stampings
  • Corrects the rear coil seat angle so lifted springs stop bowing and unseating
  • Install at the stock location or use the 1" stretch position for added wheelbase
  • Factory trackbar mount location etched into the plate as a cutout reference
  • Etched alignment mark makes a square, repeatable install faster
  • Accepts the factory jounce cup and bolt, so OEM bump stop hardware carries over
  • CAD-designed from Chrysler frame data; made in the USA

Fits the coil-sprung Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006) and LJ Unlimited. This is a weld-on frame part — plan on professional-quality welding, and note Artec's install guidance that fuel lines may need to be disconnected for clearance while you work. Refreshing the front of the frame too? See the TJ front frame coil buckets, grab a set of coil correction plates for the front axle, and browse the full coil springs collection.

Rear Coil Correction Kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ & LJ 1997-2006 FAQs

Will this kit fit my Jeep?

Yes, if it is a coil-sprung Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006) or LJ Unlimited. The brackets were CAD-modeled from Chrysler frame data, so they land correctly on the factory rear frame rails. It is meant for lifted rigs where the stock seat angle has the coils bowing.

What is the difference between the stock and stretch positions?

The stock position keeps the axle where the factory put it while correcting the spring seat angle. The 1" stretch position moves the rear axle back about an inch for a slightly longer wheelbase, which calms the Jeep down on steep climbs. You pick one location when you weld the brackets in.

How involved is the install?

This is a weld-on frame bracket, so plan on cutting, fitting, and professional-quality welding — the etched alignment mark helps you index everything square before final welds. Artec notes fuel lines may need to be disconnected for clearance while welding. Your factory jounce cup and bolt reinstall in the new bracket, and the bare steel needs paint when finished.
