This fairlead bracket is the piece that turns a bare front bumper into a winch-ready one on a Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, or LJ. Fabricated from 3/16" mild steel with gusseted, fully welded construction, it gives a fairlead a rigid, load-bearing mounting surface so your winch line pulls cleanly instead of flexing the bumper skin. It is designed to integrate with Artec Industries' YJ/TJ/LJ front bumpers and adapts to most aftermarket bumpers, adding recovery capability without a full bumper swap.

What does this bracket actually do?
It adds a rigid, gusseted mounting surface for a winch fairlead to your front bumper, so a YJ, TJ, or LJ that did not come winch-ready can run a winch line cleanly. The fairlead and winch themselves are not included — this is the structural mount.
Will it work with a bumper that is not from Artec?
In most cases, yes. It is designed to integrate with Artec's YJ/TJ/LJ front bumpers, but the bracket adapts to most aftermarket front bumpers. Check your bumper's mounting area and confirm clearance for your winch and fairlead style before installing.
Is it strong enough for hard recovery pulls?
The bracket is fabricated from 3/16" mild steel with gusseted, fully welded construction specifically to handle winching loads. The limiting factor becomes your bumper and its frame mounts, so make sure the rest of the recovery path is equally solid.
