Factory JL and JT steering was not designed for big tires and hard use, and the weak point tends to show up at the worst moment. This package pairs the RPM Massive 2.5 Ton HD 2" aluminum steering kit with a matched steering stabilizer, so the tie rod, drag link and stabilizer are all upgraded together. This version is for Rubicon, Mojave and JT Max Tow.
The RPM link is a solid 2" piece, made in the USA from 7075 T6 cold finish aluminum, with hexed ends for easy adjustment and 1.25" forged tie rod ends. Anti-flop ends are built in (excluding the pitman arm joint), serrated Belleville washers are included, and both the tie rod and drag link come in the kit. There is no drilling required at the stock location, and a drag link flip option is available.
The stabilizer is a FOX 2.0 ATS steering stabilizer, which uses an Adjustable Through Shaft design that eliminates shaft fluid displacement through the stabilizer's full travel in both directions. Clayton's Steering Stabilizer Relocation Bracket lets you raise the stabilizer above the tie rod so it is less likely to meet a rock.
Fitment
Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT, Rubicon, Mojave and JT Max Tow. The tie rod is a direct bolt-on for stock JL/JT axles and works with wheels up to 5.2" backspacing. Choose the stock location for lifts up to 4 inches. For lifts above 4.5 inches you may need a flip kit; Clayton asks that you call to confirm before ordering, and a flip kit also requires a raised track bar bracket.
What's included
The RPM tie rod and drag link, serrated Belleville washers and the steering stabilizer named in the title. The relocation bracket is mentioned as the way to raise the stabilizer; confirm with us if you need it added.
Install notes
No drilling at the stock location. Pick the flip option only if your lift height calls for it.
