These rear coil springs from Clayton Off Road use a four-stage rate for the 4.5-inch suspension height on the Jeep Gladiator JT. They are made in the USA and powder coated black.
A truck bed changes the rear spring's job from empty to loaded and back again, which is where a progressive rate earns its keep. The spring starts soft for a calmer ride and firms up in steps as the load or the compression goes up. Clayton Off Road also designed them to carry the weight of bumpers, winches and gear.
Listed free length is 24.750 inches, plus or minus 0.25 inch. The four rates run 105, 210, 310 and 360 lb/in as the spring compresses.
Clayton Off Road lists these springs for both daily driving and off-road use, with a smooth, comfortable ride as the goal. Each spring is labeled with its own part number, so it is easy to check the box against what you ordered. If you are mixing them with other lift parts, tell us your vehicle details and we will sanity check the combination.
