Aluminum Mid Arm Kit Rear Only for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018
The rear-only version of Artec's JK Aluminum Mid Arm Kit replaces all four rear control arms on a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK or JKU with polished 7075-T6 aluminum links: 2.0" OD lowers and 1.5" OD uppers. Factory rear arms are heavy stamped steel with bushings that give up long before a serious trail rig does, and rusty steel aftermarket links need constant repainting. These links took years of punishment in Artec's ARTECON test rig, through extreme rock crawling and daily street miles, while shedding real weight compared to steel tubing. It is the right pick when the front of your Jeep is already linked and the rear needs to catch up.
Features
- Two 2.0" OD 7075-T6 polished aluminum lower links
- Two 1.5" OD 7075-T6 polished aluminum upper links
- Rock Krawler Krawler Joints: 1.25"-12 tpi x 9/16" bore on the lowers (2 RH, 2 LH) with jam nuts
- 7/8"-14 tpi x 9/16" bore joints on the uppers (2 RH, 2 LH) with jam nuts
- Threaded ends and wrench flats allow on-vehicle pinion angle and wheelbase adjustment
- Aerospace-grade aluminum resists corrosion, so no repainting after rocker-deep water and rocks
- Proven over years of ARTECON rock crawling and daily-driving testing
Fits the rear of both 2-door JK and 4-door JKU models. Before install, measure each factory arm center-to-center at the bushings and set the new links to match, then confirm alignment and re-torque hardware after the first 50 miles. Complete the Jeep with the dual-upper Front Mid Arm Kit or the single-upper Front 3-Link kit, or get everything at once in the full JK Aluminum Mid Arm Kit. Aluminum Mid Arm Kit Rear Only for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 FAQs
Does this kit include both upper and lower rear arms?
Yes. You get two 2.0" OD lower links and two 1.5" OD upper links, all in polished 7075-T6 aluminum, plus Rock Krawler joints and jam nuts for every end — 1.25"-12 tpi on the lowers and 7/8"-14 tpi on the uppers. It covers the complete rear control arm set on a JK or JKU.
Can I run just the rear kit, or do I need the front too?
You can run the rear alone — the links bolt to the factory rear mounting points and work with your existing front arms. Most builders eventually pair it with Artec's front kit for balanced geometry and matched joints front to rear, and a complete front-and-rear kit is available if you want to do it all at once.
How do I set the link lengths during install?
Measure each factory arm center-to-center between the bushing holes and thread the new link to match before installing, swapping one arm at a time. The wrench flats and jam nuts let you fine-tune pinion angle afterward. Torque to factory spec, get an alignment check, and re-check all bolts after the first 50 miles.
