JMX Pro 3-Piece Teflon Lined 7/8" Rod End with 7/8" Bore
The largest-bore joint in the JMX Pro steering line pairs a 7/8"-14 shank with a full 7/8" bore, so the mounting bolt is as stout as the link it carries — the setup to run when a drag link or tie rod takes real hits. Like the rest of Artec Industries' three-piece line, it carries a hard-chrome, heat-treated bearing-steel ball on a PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel race inside a 4130 chromoly body, staying tight and quiet long after unlined one-piece heims start knocking. Right-hand and left-hand threads are offered so adjustable links can be tuned without unbolting an end.

This is a universal joint for steering and high-load link fabrication — confirm your tube or adapter is threaded 7/8"-14 and your brackets clear a 7/8" bolt or spacer stack. What size bolt does the 7/8" bore take?
A full 7/8" bolt fits the bore directly, which gives the strongest possible joint. If your brackets use 3/4" hardware, drop in 7/8" high misalignment spacers — they step the bore down to a 3/4" bolt while adding articulation angle, or choose the 3/4"-bore version of this rod end instead.
Why choose a three-piece Teflon-lined rod end?
The hard-chrome ball rides on a PTFE liner inside a heat-treated alloy steel race, so the joint runs quiet and tight instead of developing the play that shows up in unlined one-piece heims. Because the design is three-piece, a worn race can be serviced rather than replacing the whole joint.
How do I build an adjustable link with these?
Run one right-hand (JMX14R) and one left-hand (JMX14L) rod end in a 7/8"-14 threaded tube or weld-in adapters, then spinning the tube changes link length without unbolting either end. Lock the setting with 7/8"-14 jam nuts once length and toe are where you want them.
