JMX Pro 3-Piece Teflon Lined 3/4" Rod End with 3/4" Bore

$24.19

Artec Industries' JMX Pro 3/4" rod end is a three-piece, Teflon-lined heim built for tie rods, drag links, track bars, and 3-link or 4-link arms that run 3/4" hardware. Where budget rod ends with injection-molded races loosen up and start knocking, this joint runs a hard-chrome, heat-treated ball on a PTFE-lined, heat-treated alloy steel race inside a 4130 chromoly body — and when the race finally wears, it can be replaced instead of tossing the joint. The 3/4"-16 shank comes in right-hand or left-hand thread so adjustable links can be dialed for length and toe.

Features

  • Three-piece serviceable construction — replace a worn race, not the whole rod end
  • High-strength, heat-treated 4130 chromoly body
  • Hard-chrome, heat-treated bearing-steel ball on a smooth PTFE (Teflon) liner
  • Heat-treated alloy steel race outlasts injection-molded budget races
  • 3/4"-16 threaded shank with a 3/4" bore ball
  • Right-hand (JMX12R) or left-hand (JMX12L) thread for adjustable links

This is a universal joint for steering and link fabrication — confirm your tube adapter or bung is cut for 3/4"-16 and match the thread direction to your link ends. To finish the joint, add a 3/4"-16 jam nut and a set of 3/4" high misalignment spacers for more articulation at the bolt; mounting in a 2.625"-wide bracket calls for the wide 3/4" spacers instead. Browse the rest of Artec's steering joint components for adapters and larger sizes.

JMX Pro 3-Piece Teflon Lined 3/4" Rod End with 3/4" Bore FAQs

What thread and bore does this rod end use?

It runs a 3/4"-16 threaded shank and a 3/4" bore ball. Match the shank to a 3/4"-16 tube adapter or bung — Artec offers a weld-in adapter sized for 1.0" ID / 1.5" OD DOM tube — and pick right-hand or left-hand thread to suit your link ends.

Do I need jam nuts and misalignment spacers?

For a finished link, yes. A 3/4"-16 jam nut locks the joint once length and toe are set, and 3/4" high misalignment spacers center the joint in its bracket while letting it swing further before binding. Artec’s wide version fits 2.625" brackets if that is what your mounts measure.

Can it be rebuilt when it wears?

Yes. The three-piece design lets you replace the race rather than discarding the entire rod end — a real advantage over one-piece economy heims on a rig that sees regular trail abuse. The PTFE liner also delays wear by keeping the ball off bare metal.
