JMX Pro 3-Piece Teflon Lined 1/2" Rod End with 1/2" Bore
The JMX Pro 1/2" rod end is the smallest joint in Artec Industries' three-piece Teflon-lined heim line, built for steering and suspension links where a compact, serviceable joint beats a throwaway economy heim. The heat-treated 4130 chromoly body carries a hard-chrome-polished bearing-steel ball riding on a PTFE-lined alloy steel race, so the joint stays tight and quiet instead of developing the slop that kills cheap one-piece heims. It pairs a 1/2" threaded shank with a 1/2" bore and comes in right-hand or left-hand thread, so one of each on a link makes it length-adjustable without unbolting either end.

What is the difference between right-hand and left-hand thread?
Running one right-hand (JMX8R) and one left-hand (JMX8L) rod end on the same link lets you spin the tube to adjust length without unbolting either joint. Order the thread direction your link design calls for — a fixed-length link can use two right-hand ends.
What does the Teflon liner actually do?
The ball rides on a smooth PTFE liner inside the heat-treated alloy steel race instead of metal-on-metal. That gives a quieter, lower-friction pivot and resists the slop and rattle that develop in unlined one-piece heims, and the three-piece design means the race can be serviced instead of scrapping the joint.
Is this a bolt-in part for my vehicle?
No — it is a universal fabrication component. It threads into any link tube or weld-in adapter cut for a 1/2" shank and mounts with a bolt through the 1/2" bore. Add a 1/2" jam nut to lock link length once it is set.
