Artec Industries' 1.0" high misalignment spacers are the large-joint option in the stainless spacer line, made for heims and rod ends with a 1" bore — the size found on 1.25" links in serious solid-axle builds. Seated in each side of the joint, they let the ball rotate well past what a plain spacer allows, then locate the joint at the correct width on its through-bolt. On a 1.25" rod end the installed stack measures 2.63", which drops straight into Artec's 2.625" large-joint brackets. Two bolt bores are offered: 9/16" or 3/4".

What joints do these spacers fit?

Any heim or rod end with a 1" bore — typically the 1.25" rod ends and Pro Krawler-style joints used on heavy link suspensions. Installed on a 1.25" rod end the stack measures 2.63" wide, which matches Artec’s 2.625" large-joint brackets.

Should I order the 9/16" or 3/4" bolt bore?

Match the spacer bore to the bolt your brackets use: SP1601 passes a 9/16" bolt and SP1603 passes a 3/4" bolt. The joint fit and installed width are the same either way, so the mounting hardware is the only deciding factor.

Why do link joints need high misalignment spacers?

Suspension links run at changing angles as the axle cycles and flexes, and a bare heim binds once the bracket contacts the joint body. These spacers move the pivot outboard so the ball rotates further before bind — more usable articulation without stressing the joint or hardware.
