Rear Coil Perches and Retainers for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 (Pair)

$120.99

Trussing or swapping the rear axle under a Jeep Wrangler JK means cutting off the factory spring perches — and then working out exactly where the new ones go. Artec's Rear JK Coil Perches and Retainers take the measuring out of it: used with the Artec JK rear axle truss, they index the coils into the factory position automatically, and the included spring retainers keep the coils captured when the axle hangs at full droop. Cut and bent from 1/4" steel, the perches are clockable to any angle for bigger lifts and carry a laser-etched guide if you want to move the springs 1" forward for a wheelbase stretch.

Features

  • CNC laser-cut and bent from 1/4" steel
  • Indexes off the Artec JK rear truss to put coils in the factory position — no measuring
  • Clockable to any angle to set spring position for taller lifts
  • Laser-etched guide for relocating the spring 1" forward for a wheelbase stretch
  • Spring retainers keep the coils captured through full droop
  • Complete pair: bottom perches, tubing spacers, flat tube caps, retainers, and 1/2" hardware
  • Made in the USA

Two versions cover the common tubes — 3.15" for the factory JK Dana 44 and 3.5" for aftermarket or one-ton swap housings — so measure your axle tube OD before ordering. Everything welds to the axle, and Artec recommends rechecking the hardware after the first 50 miles or trail run. They are designed around the JK Apex rear axle truss; TJ builders should grab the TJ version instead. More seat and retainer hardware is in the coil springs collection.

Rear Coil Perches and Retainers for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 (Pair) FAQs

Which axle tube size should I order?

Measure the outside diameter of your rear axle tubes. The factory JK Dana 44 measures 3.15", so stock-housing builds take that version; aftermarket and one-ton swap housings typically run 3.5" tubes and take the larger version. When in doubt, measure the bare tube, not a spot with brackets or welds.

Do these require the Artec JK rear truss?

They are designed to index off the Artec JK rear axle truss — that is what locates the coils in the factory position without measuring. Used together, perch placement becomes a repeatable, jig-like step in the swap instead of trial and error.

What does installation involve?

The perches, tube caps, and retainer components weld to the axle, so plan on competent welding and paint over the bare steel. Clock each perch to your lift's spring angle before final welds, or use the laser-etched guide to move the springs 1" forward for a wheelbase stretch. Artec recommends rechecking all bolts after the first 50 miles or trail use.
