The rear wheel wells on a Wrangler JL leave an open gap between the outer body and inner sheetmetal, and every muddy trail packs it full. Artec's JL Rear Inner Fenders close that gap with 1/16" aluminum panels that keep dirt, mud, and rock spray out of the body seams while cleaning up the view behind the tire. The proprietary A-blade stamping stiffens the thin aluminum, laser-cut venting is formed right into the panels so there is no mesh to bolt on, and each side ships in four pieces to keep shipping cost down. Sold as a driver and passenger pair.
Features
- Lightweight 1/16" aluminum, CNC laser cut and CNC bent for a precise fit
- Proprietary A-blade stamping adds rigidity to the panels
- Laser-cut venting built in — no add-on mesh required
- Keeps mud and debris out of the rear body seams and door jambs
- Pressed PEM nuts for a straightforward bolt-in install
- Works with trimmed OEM fenders and most aftermarket flares
- Ships bare aluminum, ready for paint or powder coat
Fits the Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU, 2018 and up. The panels mount to existing OEM sub-frame holes with a few additional holes drilled during install, and the bare aluminum should be painted or powder coated before it goes on. Match them up front with the JL/JT Front Inner Fenders (Vented), grab the Fender Chop OEM Replacement Hardware if you are chopping flares, or bundle it all in the JL Exterior Package. More in fenders and flares.
Rear Inner Fenders for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+ FAQs
Is this a pair or a single side?
A pair — both driver and passenger rear inner fenders are included, along with the mounting hardware. Each side is a four-piece panel set, which keeps the shipping box and cost down without affecting the installed result.
Do I need to drill to install them?
Some. The panels mount to existing OEM holes on the sub-frame, with a few additional holes drilled during installation per the instructions. Pressed PEM nuts handle the fastening, so no welding is involved.
Do they come finished, and will they work with my flares?
They ship as bare aluminum, so paint or powder coat them before install for long-term protection. They are designed to work with trimmed OEM fenders and most aftermarket flare setups; unusual aftermarket fenders may need minor modification.
