License Plate Mount for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-Present
Swapped an aftermarket front bumper onto your Jeep Wrangler JL and lost the factory plate holder? The Artec JL License Plate Mount relocates the plate to the rear spare tire carrier, fastening to the OEM carrier studs with CNC-turned 7075 billet aluminum lug nuts — no drilling into the tailgate. The 1/8" steel two-piece bracket adjusts in depth (and the lower bracket reverses) to clear different wheel backspacing, and the whole assembly stays out of the way of the factory backup camera and third brake light. Designed from OEM files, laser cut and bent in-house, and finished in black powder coat.

Fits the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-present) with the factory rear spare tire carrier — it is not designed for the JK, and if the carrier is gone it has nothing to bolt to. Where does the license plate end up?
On the rear spare tire carrier. The bracket fastens to the OEM carrier studs (5x127 pattern) with CNC-turned 7075 billet aluminum lug nuts, giving the plate a factory-clean location after an aftermarket front bumper eliminates the original holder — no drilling into the tailgate.
Will it work with my wheels and backup camera?
Yes on both counts. The two-piece bracket adjusts in depth and the lower bracket is reversible, so the plate sits correctly with most deep-backspaced wheels, and the mount is designed around the factory backup camera and third brake light — both are retained.
Does it fit the JK, and how do I light the plate?
No — it is designed from JL OEM files for the 2018-present Wrangler JL with the factory spare tire carrier and is not compatible with the JK. For illumination, add a bolt-style LED plate light such as Artec's miniature LED license plate bolt, sold separately.
