Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit with 7/8" JMX Rod Ends

$241.99

This build-it-yourself kit supplies the tie rod linkage for a front Dana 60 running full-hydraulic steering. Four JMX 7/8"-14 tpi chromoly heims with 3/4" bores, matching jam nuts and tube adapters, and two 10" lengths of 1.5" OD x .250"-wall DOM link stock combine into a stout tie rod that ties the knuckles to a double-ended ram. It is sized to run with Artec's Ultimate 60 high steer arms and a PSC DE hydraulic ram on hard-working big-tire rigs.

Features

  • Four JMX 7/8"-14 tpi chromoly heims with 3/4" bore (2 RH, 2 LH)
  • Rod ends rated at 41,500 lb static per pair
  • Four 7/8"-14 tpi jam nuts and four tube adapters (RH and LH)
  • Two 1.5" OD x .250" wall DOM links, 10" long, cut to final width
  • Opposing threads make the links adjustable for toe
  • Made in the USA

Confirm your high-steer arm and ram studs are 3/4" (or sleeved to 3/4") to match the heim bores, and plan on cutting the DOM links to length — most builders also weld the tube adapters in, so fabrication skills are required. It pairs with the Ultimate Dana 60 Aluminum High Steer Arms and the 60 Knuckle Bolt Kit for double shear; Ford-swap builders should see the Superduty Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit instead. Full Hydro Tie Rod Kit with 7/8" JMX Rod Ends FAQs

What steering setup is this kit for?

It builds the tie rod for a front Dana 60 running full-hydraulic steering, pairing with Artec Ultimate 60 high steer arms and a PSC double-ended hydraulic ram. For Ford Super Duty knuckle builds, Artec offers a separate Superduty full-hydro tie rod kit with the correct bores.

Will the heims fit my arms and ram?

The four JMX 7/8"-14 tpi heims all use a 3/4" bore, so confirm your high-steer arm studs and ram tie-rod studs are 3/4" or sleeved down to 3/4" before ordering. Adding the 60 Knuckle Bolt Kit lets you run the tie rod in double shear at the arms.

How much assembly work is involved?

You cut the two 10" DOM links to your final axle width, thread in the tube adapters, and set toe using the opposing right- and left-hand threads. Most builders weld the adapters into the links for security, so basic fabrication and welding are part of the job.
