14 Bolt Pinion Guard - Standard for GM 14 Bolt Axle
The GM 14-bolt earns its place under 1-ton swaps, but its pinion and yoke sit low and take the first hit on every ledge. The Artec 14 Bolt Pinion Guard - Standard covers that spot with 3/8" CNC-cut mild steel, absorbing rock strikes that would otherwise bend the pinion or chew up the driveshaft. This is the stand-alone version without a truss bridge, sized to clear u-joints up to 1410, and it ships with 3/8" grade 8 hardware.

It fits the axle rather than a vehicle, with one caveat: it will not fit under JK and JL builds, where the guard contacts the gas tank — check your packaging before ordering. Installation is weld-on and belongs with a competent welder, and the bare steel needs paint afterward. Will this fit my rig?
It fits the GM 14-bolt rear axle regardless of what vehicle it is under, with one known exception: on Jeep JK and JL builds the guard contacts the gas tank and will not fit. If you run a JK or JL, verify tank clearance or look at a truss-bridge setup instead.
What is the difference between this and the bridge version?
This standard guard protects the pinion and yoke on its own and works with Artec 14-bolt trusses that do not require a bridge. The 14 bolt Pinion Guard with Bridge adds a section that ties the guard into a bridged Artec truss, spreading impact loads across the housing.
How does it install?
It is weld-on armor and should be welded to the housing by a competent professional; 3/8" grade 8 hardware is included. The guard clears u-joints up to 1410 size, and since it ships bare, paint or coat it once the welding is done.
