The factory rear bumper on a 3rd-gen Tacoma hangs low, folds easily, and leaves the backup sensors exposed. The Artec Industries Venture rear bumper replaces it with a high-clearance steel design that hugs the frame for a dramatically better departure angle, developed from precise 3D scans and factory CAD data so it fits without big gaps. Aluminum skid plates shield the undercarriage and the not-cheap factory backup sensors, while 3/4" recovery tabs and a factory-hitch pass-through keep the truck both trail-ready and tow-ready. It suits Tacoma owners who wheel, overland, or just want a rear end that shrugs off what the parking lot and the trail throw at it.

Which Tacoma does this fit, and does it keep the hitch and sensors?
It fits the 3rd-generation Toyota Tacoma (2016-2023) and replaces the factory rear bumper. It integrates with the factory receiver hitch, and the 3/16" aluminum skid plates are shaped to protect the factory backup sensors, so both towing and park-assist stay functional.
Is welding or drilling required to install it?
No welding. The Venture rear bumper is a bolt-on replacement that uses the included press nuts and hardware, with large frame-plate gussets tying it directly to the frame. It was engineered from 3D scans and factory CAD files, so the mounting points line up with the truck as built.
What is the difference between the finish options?
The bumper comes in black textured powder coat or bare steel — bare steel is for owners who want to color-match, and it needs paint or coating promptly to prevent rust. The aluminum skid plates ship uncoated in either case; aluminum weathers fine bare, or you can coat them to match.
