This is Artec's complete underbody package for the 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner: A-arm skids, full bellypan, and fuel tank skid in a single kit. Everything is cut from 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum on 3/16" zinc-plated steel brackets, covering the oil pan, transmission, transfer case, front exhaust, and fuel tank while coming in around a third lighter than a comparable steel system. The no-overlap panel design actually gains ground clearance over the low-hanging factory guards, and buying the three pieces bundled costs less than collecting them one at a time. For an overland or trail 4Runner that leaves pavement regularly, this is the one-order armor solution.

Fits the 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner, 2014-2024 — but not KDSS-equipped trucks without modification, so check for KDSS before ordering. It clears sway bar drop brackets and partial diff drops, though not a full cradle drop; plan on roughly four hours for a careful install. Prefer to stage the build? Will this system fit my KDSS-equipped 4Runner?
No — the system is not compatible with KDSS-equipped 4Runners without modification, and Artec's own guidance is that trimming attempts don't resolve it. Non-KDSS 5th Gen trucks (2014-2024) install without restriction.
Do I have to drop the fuel tank to install it?
No. The kit includes an additional fuel tank strap that eliminates the tank drop. Plan on roughly four hours for the full install at an unhurried pace — it's all bolt-on work with basic tools, no welding.
Will it clear my lift components?
The system clears sway bar drop brackets and partial differential drops, but it will not clear a full cradle drop. If your lift relocates the front cradle, verify your setup before ordering.
