The STILLEN TruPedal is a throttle response controller for drive-by-wire vehicles. Factory electronic throttles are tuned to be gentle on fuel and drivability, which is why a pedal press can feel like it lands a beat late. TruPedal works on the signal passing between the pedal and the engine so the response lines up better with what your foot is asking for.
It is adjustable rather than one-size-fits-all. On top of stock there are four driving modes: Race, Sport, City and Eco. Each mode has seven fine-tuning options, 28 settings in all, and changes are made from your smartphone. A Valet mode sharply reduces throttle performance for when someone else has the keys.
There is a security angle too. Using Bluetooth authorization, the built-in immobilizer can hold the throttle until your phone is present. It is a pedal-response product, so think livelier tip-in and a more direct feel rather than a change to the engine itself.
