A Forester's underbody takes hits from rocks and potholes, and this RCI aluminum front skid plate is built to cover the critical parts. It is made from laser-cut 3/16 inch 5052 aluminum with a black powder coat and shields the front cross-members and oil pan, plus the turbo on models that have one.
Precision-cut service openings allow oil changes without removal, the edges between cross-members are strengthened, and a recessed bolt design protects the hardware. The flat underside slides over rocks and debris, and the plate is designed to support airflow and heat dissipation. It weighs 16 lb.
Fitment
RCI confirms fitment for all trim levels of the 2019-2024 Subaru Forester, including turbo models, and also lists the 2018-2024 Subaru Crosstrek. It is not compatible with aftermarket sub-frame drops, and RCI asks that you contact them if you have an overseas model.
Install notes
The plate uses the factory mounting points for strength and easy installation, with hardware and instructions included. RCI publishes an installation guide for the 19-24 Forester and 18-24 Crosstrek. It is made to order, so it ships on a lead time. RCI posts current lead times on its website, and we can check where things stand.
