About Prinsu Design Studio

Prinsu designs and fabricates its racks in-house, with its own engineers and fabrication team in Idaho Falls. The Original Prinsu rack made its name on a slim, simple profile, and the newer Prinsu Pro line carries that design to more vehicles.

Racks are the core, but the shop also builds top racks for camper shells, ladders, accessory panels, and awning and light mounts, with Toyota trucks and SUVs at the center of the lineup.

What we carry from Prinsu

Roof racks and cab racks in Original and Prinsu Pro versions, plus top racks for caps and campers. Rack accessories include crossbars, tie-downs, T-nuts, wind deflectors and edge trim, along with ladders, accessory/MOLLE panels, and awning, light-bar, MAXTRAX and RotoPax mounts. There's armor too: rock sliders, swing arms and a rear bumper.

Fitments include the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, Lexus GX and LX, FJ Cruiser and RAV4; Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek and Ascent; Ford Bronco, F-150, Ranger, Super Duty and Maverick; Colorado, Canyon, Silverado and Sierra; Ram 1500; Nissan Frontier; Rivian R1T and R1S; and the Sprinter 144.

How to choose

Pick the rack line, then decide how it attaches.

  • Original or Pro: both share the low-profile idea. One concrete difference is lead time, about 2 weeks for the Original versus about 5 for Pro.
  • Drill or non-drill: they work much the same, but drilling adds a fixed contact point that Prinsu recommends for heavy loads like a rooftop tent.
  • Weight: Prinsu doesn't publish an official rating. In field testing its racks have held about 600 lb static and 300 lb dynamic.
  • Sunroofs: the rack is designed not to touch the glass, though it will shade it.

Lead times & shipping

Per our current lead times page, Prinsu Pro roof racks and Pro top racks run about 5 weeks, Original Prinsu roof and top racks about 2 weeks, and accessories 1–2 weeks. Those are estimates, not promised ship dates, and they change. Racks ship by freight and need a signature, so inspect the box for damage before you sign.
