Sentinel Winch Block-Off Plate for Jeep Wrangler JK, JL, JT - Black Powder Coat
Not every build needs a winch, but an empty winch pocket on your Artec Industries Sentinel front bumper collects mud and looks unfinished. This black powder coat block-off plate closes the opening with an 11-gauge aluminum panel carried on steel brackets, matched to the textured black finish of the powder coated Sentinel bumpers for the Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018), Wrangler JL (2018+), and Gladiator JT (2020+). The result is a smooth, sealed bumper face that looks factory-intended, with nothing permanent about it - pull the plate whenever a winch finally makes the budget.
Features
- 11-gauge aluminum cover panel - rigid, lightweight, and immune to rust
- Steel mounting brackets position the panel precisely in the winch opening
- Textured black powder coat over zinc primer matches the coated Sentinel bumpers
- Blocks mud, snow, and road grime from packing into the winch pocket
- Bolt-on installation with included hardware - no drilling, cutting, or trimming
- Removable design keeps the winch upgrade path open
This plate mounts only to Artec Sentinel front bumpers - it is not a bumper on its own. Pair it with the Sentinel Front Bumper in black powder coat for a color-matched front end, or grab the raw version of this plate if you finish parts yourself. When the winch day comes, the JL-JT Steel Bumper Winch Plate takes its place. More options live in our front bumpers collection.
Sentinel Winch Block-Off Plate for Jeep Wrangler JK, JL, JT FAQs
Does this plate replace my front bumper?
No. It is a cover panel that seals the winch opening on an Artec Sentinel front bumper, so the Sentinel must already be installed on your JK, JL, or JT for this plate to bolt to. It will not fit other brands of bumpers.
Will the finish match my powder coated Sentinel bumper?
Yes — it wears the same textured black powder coat over a zinc primer used on Artec's coated Sentinel bumpers, so the closed-off face blends in rather than standing out. The aluminum panel itself is naturally corrosion-proof, and the coating protects the steel brackets.
What happens when I want to add a winch?
Unbolt the plate and it comes off without a trace — no drilling or cutting was needed to install it, so nothing on the bumper is altered. From there, install a winch plate, winch, and fairlead in the opening and keep the block-off panel on the shelf in case the setup changes again.
