High Clearance Front Bumper with Hoop for Jeep Wrangler JK, JL & Gladiator JT
Artec Industries' High Clearance Front Bumper with Hoop pairs the company's frame-cut stubby winch bumper with a 1.75" DOM tube hoop, giving the Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018), Wrangler JL (2018+), and Gladiator JT (2020+) maximum approach angle without leaving the grille exposed. Like the no-hoop version, installation means trimming 5.25" from the front frame horns and bolting the bumper to the shortened frame through an internal PEM plate - a permanent modification that transforms how the nose clears obstacles. The hoop is gusseted with plate steel, so it shields the grille, carries lighting, and takes contact on climbs. Construction is 1/4" and 3/16" CNC laser-cut steel, made in the USA, with a 3/16" aerospace aluminum bash skid below.
Features
- 1.75" DOM tube hoop reinforced with large plate-steel gussets
- Body formed from 1/4" and 3/16" CNC laser-cut steel in the USA
- Integrated 1/4"-thick winch mount and fairlead mount
- 3/4"-thick alloy steel shackle mounts built into the structure
- 3/16" aerospace aluminum bash skid with flush countersunk hardware
- Internal PEM plate anchors the bumper to the trimmed frame
- Approximately 65 lbs complete
- Raw steel or matte black powder coat
Plan the install carefully: the 5.25" frame-horn cut and drilling are required, Warn Zeon-class winches fit while offset-drum winches do not, and OEM electric swaybars need an aftermarket solution - confirm your combination before cutting. Raw steel should be painted or coated after fitting. Prefer the cleaner nose? See the High Clearance Front Bumper without hoop. The Fairlead & Light Bracket and replacement bash skid support both versions, and our front bumpers collection has the rest.
High Clearance Front Bumper with Hoop for Jeep Wrangler JK, JL & Gladiator JT FAQs
What does the hoop add over the standard High Clearance bumper?
A 1.75" DOM tube hoop braced with large plate-steel gussets that protects the grille on steep climbs and gives you a solid place to hang lights. Everything else — the 1/4" and 3/16" steel structure, winch mount, shackle mounts, and aluminum bash skid — matches the no-hoop version, at roughly 10 lbs more (about 65 lbs total).
Is cutting the frame required, and can it be undone?
Yes, installation requires drilling and trimming 5.25" from the front frame horns, and the cut is permanent. The bumper then bolts to the modified frame anchored by an internal PEM plate, so no welding is involved. Commit to the high-clearance layout before you cut.
Will my winch and swaybar work with it?
Winches comparable to a Warn Zeon fit the integrated 1/4" winch mount; offset-drum winches are not compatible. OEM electric swaybars do not clear this bumper — plan on an aftermarket swaybar solution, and note that swaybar clearance differs between the JK and the JL/JT platforms.
