High Clearance Rear Bumper Corner Pod Skids for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+

$195.99

The Corner Pod Skids are replaceable aluminum bash plates for the corner end pods of Artec Industries' Bantam Series rear bumper on the Jeep Gladiator JT. Dragging the rear corners over rocks is part of wheeling a high-clearance bumper hard — these skids bolt over the outer pods so that abrasion lands on inexpensive, swappable high-strength aluminum instead of your powder-coated steel. Laser-cut and formed in the USA, they install with hand tools and swap out the same way once they have taken enough abuse.

Features

  • High-strength aluminum sacrificial plates protect the steel corner pods and their finish
  • Bolt directly to the Bantam corner pods — no drilling or welding
  • Fully replaceable: renew corner protection without touching the bumper itself
  • Lightweight aluminum keeps added weight low at the back of the truck
  • Laser-cut and formed in the USA

Made for the corner pods of the Bantam high-clearance rear bumper on the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020+); the skids are an accessory and need the corner pods (standard or comp) installed first. Give the middle of the bumper the same treatment with the center bash skid, or start from the beginning with the bumper center section in the rear bumpers collection.

High Clearance Rear Bumper Corner Pod Skids for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+ FAQs

Can I install these without the corner pods?

No. The skids bolt onto the corner end pods of Artec's Bantam Series high-clearance rear bumper on the Gladiator JT (2020-present), and they fit both the standard and comp pods. If your bumper does not have corner pods yet, add those first — the skids mount directly to them.

Why run sacrificial skids at all?

The rear corners take a beating on off-camber terrain, and every scrape otherwise comes out of your steel pods and their powder coat. Letting bolt-on aluminum absorb that wear means you replace an inexpensive plate now and then instead of repairing or refinishing the bumper.

Is cutting or welding required for installation?

No. The skids bolt to existing points on the corner pods with the supplied hardware, so installation and later replacement are both quick hand-tool jobs. Nothing about the bumper itself gets modified.
