Coachbuilder Strut/Coilover Shim | .250" Front Lift | Fits Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner & FJ Cruiser 2005–2023 Including TRD Pro | Ekstrom Design

$16.00 $22.77

The Coachbuilder .250" strut/coilover shim is the finest adjustment in the shim lineup for the 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, and FJ Cruiser, including TRD Pro models. It sits on top of the front strut or coilover and raises that corner a quarter inch — the finishing correction for a build that is almost level but not quite. Because the height comes from the shim itself, you skip the usual workaround of cranking preload into the coil just to chase stance. Each shim is CNC machined from T6 6061 billet aluminum, hard black anodized, and made in the USA by Ekstrom Design & Fabrication.

Features

  • Provides .250" of front lift — a 1:2 ratio design that measures .120" in actual thickness
  • Engineered to fine-tune the front suspension in small, repeatable steps
  • Eliminates the need to add preload to the coilover
  • Corrects driver-side lean when installed on a single corner
  • CNC machined from T6 6061 billet aluminum with a hard black anodized finish
  • Compatible with TRD Pro suspension
  • Made in the USA by Ekstrom Design & Fabrication Corporation
  • Includes one Coachbuilder shim — order one per corner you plan to correct

Running ADS, Fox 2.5 Series, Icon 2.5 Series, or King coilovers? You will need the Coachbuilder Coilover Bolt Kit (SAE 3/8"); Eibach and OME BP-51 coilovers take the Metric M10 bolt kit instead. TRD Pro models must use the Coachbuilder Hardware Kit. Need a bigger step? See the full range of coil spacers and shims.

Coachbuilder Strut/Coilover Shim | .250" Front Lift | Fits Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner & FJ Cruiser 2005–2023 Including TRD Pro | Ekstrom Design FAQs

Which bolt kit does my coilover setup need?

It depends on the coilovers. ADS, Fox 2.5 Series, Icon 2.5 Series, and King coilovers require the Coachbuilder Coilover Bolt Kit in SAE 3/8", while Eibach and OME BP-51 coilovers require the Metric M10 version. TRD Pro models must use the Coachbuilder Hardware Kit.

Why does a .120" shim give .250" of lift?

The shim mounts on top of the strut or coilover, and the front suspension works at a 1:2 ratio — the .120" of actual shim thickness translates to .250" of lift at the truck. That is why such a thin piece of billet is enough to true up a stance that is only slightly off.

Will this fit my 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro?

Yes — this shim fits the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner, including TRD Pro models, plus the FJ Cruiser. On TRD Pro suspension you must pair it with the Coachbuilder Hardware Kit. Each listing includes one shim, so order one for every corner you plan to correct.
