ICON's Vehicle Specific 3.0 Series shocks are tuned per application, in both length and damping. This rear pair is for 2005-2026 Ford Super Duty trucks running 0-3" of lift, and it uses a remote reservoir with CDCV compression damping.
The 3.0 Series has 50% more piston surface area than ICON's 2.5 Series, which ICON ties to better stability and control at the extremes. Extra oil volume and external surface area help with heat dissipation and resistance to fade under hard use. Every ICON shock is 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable.
On the rear remote reservoir shocks, a 6061 billet aluminum manifold sits a few inches below the top cap and creates an internal Bump Zone. When it is used, it adds another 20% of damping force, which helps with harsh bottom outs and controls high-speed compression.
The CDCV (Compression Damping Control Valve) controls fluid flow under compression, so you can dial in the tune whether you are on the street, slow-crawling rocks, or running fast in the desert.
Fitment
2005-2026 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty, for 0-3" of lift. This is the rear pair. ICON lists the CDCV version as 2005-2026.
