Multi-Purpose Tabs (Pair)

$19.24

Artec's Multi-Purpose Tabs are the do-anything weld-on tabs from the fabricator's parts line — the pieces you reach for when a shock, link, or rod end needs a strong double-shear mount on an axle or chassis. They come as a pair in two sizes: Small takes shocks and rod ends up to 7/8" through a 1/2" hole, while Large takes 1.25" rod ends through a 9/16" hole. An offset base adds weld surface where it counts, and the CNC-cut profile looks a lot better than the plain rectangles most builds end up with.

Features

  • CNC laser-cut from 1/4" steel for double-shear mounting strength
  • Small size: 1/2" hole for shocks and rod ends up to 7/8"
  • Large size: 9/16" hole for 1.25" rod ends
  • Offset base increases weld surface area for a stronger joint
  • Sold in pairs — exactly what a double-shear mount needs
  • Distinctive Artec profile gives a finished, custom look

These are universal weld-on tabs for any custom link suspension, shock mount, or bracket — Jeep, Toyota, or scratch-built — and they require welding and a coat of paint or powder over the bare steel. Pick the size by the rod end or shock hardware you are running, then round out the mount with the Flat Shock Tabs for dedicated shock duty or the Shock Hardware Assembly for bolts and sleeves. Multi-Purpose Tabs (Pair) FAQs

Which size should I order?

Go by your hardware: the Small tab has a 1/2" hole and suits shocks and rod ends up to 7/8", while the Large tab has a 9/16" hole sized for 1.25" rod ends. If a mount will see both duties, size to the largest joint it must carry.

Do these tabs bolt on or weld on?

They are weld-on tabs. The offset base gives extra material to lay a strong bead against an axle tube, truss, or chassis rail. Prep bare metal at the weld area, tack, check alignment through suspension travel, then finish weld and paint or powder coat the bare steel.

Why are they sold in pairs?

Because a proper link or shock mount captures the joint in double shear — one tab on each side of the rod end or shock eyelet. A pair builds one complete mount; order multiple pairs for multiple mounting points.
