Standard Rock Sliders for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006

$575.00

The TJ Standard Rock Sliders protect the rocker panels of the two-door Jeep Wrangler TJ — the body section that costs the most to repair once a rock finds it. Built from 3/16" steel and contoured to follow the factory body line, they sit low and tight so you can slide off rocks and ledges instead of folding the pinch seam. For a daily-driven or moderately built TJ, this is the straightforward first piece of armor: bolt-on, no welding, and no drama. Artec Industries makes them in the USA.

Features

  • 3/16" steel for genuine rocker-panel protection
  • Contoured to the factory body line for a tight, low-profile fit
  • Guards the pinch seam and rockers from rocks, ledges, and trail damage
  • Bolt-on installation with included hardware
  • Sold as a pair covering both sides
  • Made in the USA

These are sized for the two-door Wrangler TJ (1997-2006); if you drive the longer-wheelbase Unlimited, run the LJ Standard Rock Sliders instead. Pair them with TJ Standard Rear Corner Armor for protection from the rockers back, and browse the rest of the rockers and sliders collection for other platforms.

Standard Rock Sliders for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006 FAQs

Do these fit the Wrangler Unlimited LJ?

No. These sliders are sized for the two-door Wrangler TJ built from 1997 through 2006. The Unlimited LJ has a longer wheelbase and rocker section, so it takes Artec's LJ Standard Rock Sliders, which are cut to that body length.

Are they weld-on or bolt-on?

Bolt-on. The sliders mount to the body using the included hardware, so no welding, cutting, or painting is required to get them on the Jeep. Basic hand tools and a helper to hold the slider in place are all most installs need.

Is 3/16 inch steel thick enough for real wheeling?

Yes. 3/16" plate takes rock and ledge contact without folding, which is exactly the job here — letting the Jeep slide across an obstacle on steel rather than denting the rocker panel and pinch seam. It is the same thickness Artec uses on its LJ sliders.
