Standard Aluminum Rear Corner Armor for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006

$499.00

This is Artec's drop-in rear corner armor for the Wrangler TJ: 3/16" aluminum panels with the wheel well already contoured to the factory tire opening. The TJ's rear quarters are thin sheet metal in exactly the spot ledges, trees, and other bumpers find first, and this armor bolts over them so the aluminum takes the abuse. Because the openings are pre-cut, there is no measuring or trimming — it is the version to run when your rear axle is in the stock location. The low-profile fit protects the body without changing how the Jeep looks.

Features

  • Heavy-duty 3/16" aluminum — strong, light, and corrosion-resistant
  • Wheel well pre-contoured to the factory tire opening, no cutting needed
  • Bolt-on installation, no welding required
  • Low-profile panels guard the body without adding bulk
  • Stops rock rash, ledge strikes, and parking-lot dings on thin OEM quarters
  • Engineered to match TJ body contours
  • Made in the USA

Fits the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006) with the rear axle in the stock location. Stretched the wheelbase or moved the tire? Use the TJ Blank Rear Corner Armor and cut the opening to suit. Driving the longer LJ Unlimited? Its quarters need the LJ Rear Corner Armor. Pair it with the TJ/LJ Vented Inner Fenders up front, or shop the full armor collection.

Standard Aluminum Rear Corner Armor for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006 FAQs

Does this fit my Jeep?

It fits the Jeep Wrangler TJ, 1997-2006, running the rear axle in the stock location. The wheel well is pre-contoured to the factory tire opening, so if your wheelbase is stretched or the tire has moved, choose the TJ Blank version instead. LJ Unlimited models use their own longer corner armor.

What is the difference between the standard and blank versions?

The standard version, this one, has the wheel well pre-cut to the factory opening for a direct bolt-on with no trimming. The blank version ships with the wheel well uncut so you can place the opening yourself — the right call for stretched wheelbases and non-stock tire locations.

Is any welding or cutting needed to install it?

No. The panels bolt on with the included hardware and the openings are already cut to the factory contour, so installation is a hand-tools job. That also means the armor can come off later if you ever need to work on the body underneath.
