Nighthawk Stinger Front Bumper with Aluminum Skid for Jeep JK, JL & JT
The Nighthawk Stinger is Artec’s full-protection front bumper for the Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018), JL (2018+), and Gladiator JT (2020+), topped with a 1.75″ DOM mid-tube stinger hoop that keeps the grille, light bar, and winch line out of harm’s way on steep, nose-first descents and climbs. The body is CNC laser cut from 1/4″, 3/16″, and 1/8″ steel with internal gusseting, and the included 1/4″ aerospace-aluminum rock guard skid saves weight where a steel skid would pile it on. Contours were pulled from 3D scan data, so approach angle and tire clearance stay maximized.

Fits JK, JL, and JT — note that plastic-bumper JK trims take LED or JK-style aftermarket fog lights only. Order bare steel if you plan to coat it yourself; bare steel needs paint or powder before the trail. What does the stinger hoop actually do?
The 1.75″ DOM mid-tube hoop arcs over the center of the bumper to shield the grille, light bar, and winch line. On steep nose-first descents or aggressive climbs it contacts terrain before your sheet metal does. If you prefer a lower, cleaner profile, the standard Nighthawk is the same base bumper without the hoop.
Will my winch and fog lights work with it?
The 1/4″ formed winch plate accepts most winches, and the bumper is cut for LED square-style or OEM LED fog lights. One caveat: JK trims that came with the plastic factory bumper accept LED lights or JK-style aftermarket lights only.
Do I need to drill or weld anything to install it?
No welding, and the 1/4″ aerospace-aluminum rock guard skid bolts on with no drilling required. The bumper mounts with the included hardware. If you order the bare steel finish, paint or powder coat it before installation — raw steel will rust.
