Standard Rock Sliders for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ 2004-2006
Artec's LJ Standard Rock Sliders guard the rocker panels and pinch seams of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ with 3/16" steel, giving the long-wheelbase Wrangler a solid surface to slide across ledges instead of caving in sheet metal. The LJ's extra wheelbase puts more body between the axles and closer to the rocks, which makes rocker protection one of the first armor pieces an LJ should get. These sliders run from the back of the front flare to the rear wheel opening, bolt on with no welding, and keep a low, tucked profile that gives up almost no ground clearance.
Features
- 3/16" steel construction takes the Jeep's weight on rock without folding
- Sized specifically for the LJ's longer wheelbase and rocker length
- Coverage from the back of the front flare to the rear wheel opening
- Low-profile, tucked design preserves ground clearance
- Protects rockers and pinch seams from crush damage and trail debris
- Bolt-on installation, no welding required
- Made in the USA
These fit the Wrangler Unlimited LJ (2004-2006) only; the shorter two-door TJ takes the TJ Standard Rock Sliders instead, so measure or confirm your wheelbase if you are unsure which body you have. Round out lower-body protection with LJ Rear Corner Armor, and see more options in the rockers and sliders collection or the Jeep Wrangler lineup.
Standard Rock Sliders for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ 2004-2006 FAQs
Will these fit a regular two-door TJ?
No. The Wrangler Unlimited LJ has a longer wheelbase than the standard TJ, so these sliders are cut to LJ length — they run from the back of the front flare to the rear wheel opening. A two-door TJ should use Artec's TJ Standard Rock Sliders instead.
Do I need a welder to install them?
No. These are a bolt-on design that installs with the supplied mounting hardware and common hand tools. Follow the instructions and torque specs during install — properly tightened hardware is what lets the sliders carry the Jeep's weight on rock.
How much protection do rock sliders actually add?
They put 3/16" steel between the trail and your rocker panels and pinch seams, which are among the costliest body areas to repair once crushed. On ledges and boulders the Jeep slides across the steel instead of hanging body metal on the obstacle, and the tucked profile costs almost no clearance.
