Full Bellypan with Oil Door for Jeep Wrangler JLU 3.6L Pre-2018 Build (4 Door, Aluminum)

$2,799.99

The earliest 4-door Wrangler JLU 3.6L builds left the factory with an oil-pan configuration that later production abandoned, and this Artec Industries Alpha Series full bellypan (SKU JL4125) is the version cut for that early layout. Like its siblings, it armors the oil pan, transmission, transfer case, and fuel tank under one continuous 1/4" heat-treated aluminum plane, with an integrated oil door for service access and a support strap that eliminates the factory fuel-tank drop. Artec offers three 3.6L variants because the pan geometry shifted across production — this is the one for the first-run trucks.

Features

  • Cut for the early-production 3.6L oil pan that 2018-2020 and 2021+ kits do not fit
  • 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum at roughly a third the weight of comparable steel armor
  • Continuous flush coverage: oil pan, transmission, transfer case, fuel tank
  • Integrated oil door for oil and filter changes with the skid mounted
  • No-overlap modular panels remove individually
  • Fuel-tank support strap deletes the factory tank drop and adds clearance
  • 3/16" zinc-plated steel brackets, countersunk OEM-thread bolts; CNC laser cut and formed in the USA

Before ordering, identify which oil pan your Jeep actually carries — with three 3.6L variants, matching the pan beats trusting the title date. Later builds belong with the 2018-2020 kit or the 2021+ kit. If you want to verify fit with a smaller spend first, the year-matched 3.6L oil skid covers the same front section — see all versions in the skid plates collection.

Full Bellypan with Oil Door for Jeep Wrangler JLU 3.6L Pre-2018 Build (4 Door, Aluminum) FAQs

The JL launched in 2018 — what does pre-2018 mean here?

It refers to the earliest 3.6L production run, whose oil pan differs from later trucks. Artec cuts a dedicated bellypan for that first configuration and separate versions for 2018-2020 and 2021+ pans. If your JLU is a very early build, compare your oil pan against Artec's fitment images rather than relying on the title date alone.

How do I know for sure which of the three 3.6L versions I need?

The oil pan is the piece that changes, so identify your pan style first — crawl under and compare, or check with your dealer using the build date. The transfer case and fuel-tank sections are consistent; it is the front oil skid that must match your pan for the door and mounts to line up.

Is the install bolt-on like the other Alpha Series kits?

Yes. All panels mount to factory frame points through 3/16" zinc-plated steel brackets with countersunk bolts in OEM thread sizes — no welding or drilling. The integrated oil door then handles oil and filter changes, and each no-overlap panel can drop individually for bigger jobs.
