Oil Pan Skid with Oil Door for Jeep Wrangler JL 2.0L 2018+ (2 & 4 Door, Aluminum)
The 2.0L turbo hangs its oil and transmission pans low in the Wrangler JL chassis, and the factory covers under there are little more than splash shields. This Artec Industries Alpha Series oil skid (SKU JL4188) puts 1/4" heat-treated aluminum between those pans and the trail, and it fits both 2-door and 4-door 2018-and-newer Wranglers with the 2.0L engine. A removable oil door built into the plate opens for drain-plug and filter access, so oil changes never mean dropping armor. It is the front module of Artec's no-overlap bellypan system, so you can start here and add coverage later.
Features
- 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum plate over the oil pan and transmission pan
- Removable oil door for drain-plug and filter service with the skid in place
- 3/16" zinc-plated steel mounting brackets resist corrosion at the frame
- Bolt-on install using Artec countersunk hardware matched to OEM thread
- Designed from factory CAD data and 3D Creaform scans, then CNC laser cut and formed
- Modular no-overlap design ties into the rest of the Alpha Series bellypan
- Bare aluminum needs no paint and will not rust; made in the USA
Confirm you have the 2.0L turbo before ordering — the 3.6L Pentastar uses year-specific oil skids (2018-2020 or 2021+) that will not interchange. Want the whole belly covered in one order? Step up to the 2-door 2.0L full bellypan or 4-door 2.0L full bellypan, or browse all skid plates.
Oil Pan Skid with Oil Door for Jeep Wrangler JL 2.0L 2018+ (2 & 4 Door, Aluminum) FAQs
Does this oil skid fit both 2-door and 4-door Wranglers?
Yes. The oil-pan area is shared between the 2-door JL and 4-door JLU, so one part covers both body styles. The requirement that matters is the engine — this skid is cut for the 2.0L turbo's pan geometry, and 3.6L, diesel, and 392 Jeeps each need their own version.
Can I change my oil without removing the skid?
Yes. A removable oil door is built into the plate and opens for drain-plug and filter access, so routine oil changes happen with the armor still bolted to the Jeep. That saves wrestling a full-width plate off the frame every few thousand miles.
Is any welding or drilling needed to install it?
No. The skid mounts through 3/16" zinc-plated steel brackets to factory points using Artec's countersunk bolts, which match OEM thread. It is a bolt-on job with hand tools, and the bare 6061-T6 aluminum never needs paint.
