The Nighthawk Rear Bumper closes out Artec Industries' Nighthawk armor line for the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018+), carrying the same hard, faceted lines as the matching front bumper. CNC laser cut and formed from 3/16" steel and internally gusseted, it tucks high and tight against the factory frame so the rear end stops dragging on ledges and off-camber exits. Its 3/4" high-strength alloy steel frame brackets double as shackle mounts, giving you real rear recovery points instead of a decorative bumper. It's built for JL owners who want their armor to match front to back and actually work when the trail gets serious.

Choose the sensor-holes version (JL5501) if your Jeep has factory backup sensors, or the clean face (JL5502) if it doesn't; installation needs no frame modifications, but the bumper is heavy enough that you'll want a second set of hands, and the bare steel needs coating before it weathers. Which sensor version do I need?
If your JL has factory backup sensors, order the Sensor Holes version (JL5501) so the sensors mount through the bumper face. If your Jeep doesn't have them, the No Sensor Holes version (JL5502) gives you a clean, uninterrupted face.
Can I recover and tow from this bumper?
Yes on both counts. The 3/4" high-strength alloy steel frame brackets double as shackle mounts, so recovery shackles bolt directly to the bumper structure, and the bumper is compatible with the OEM receiver hitch for towing and hitch accessories.
How involved is the install, and does it come painted?
No frame modifications are required — it bolts to the factory frame, though the weight makes it a two-person job. It ships in bare steel so you can paint or powder coat it to match your rig; plan to coat it before or shortly after install so it doesn't surface-rust.
