eTorque Aluminum Battery Skid for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-Present

$229.99

The 48V eTorque battery on a mild-hybrid Jeep Wrangler JL hangs under the vehicle behind a thin factory guard, and it's one of the priciest components a rock can find. This Artec skid replaces that flimsy stock protection with 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum formed from factory CAD data, adding only about 6 pounds while actually gaining ground clearance over the OEM piece. It's part of Artec's modular JL bellypan system, so it works as a standalone battery skid or as one panel in a full no-overlap underbody build.

Features

  • 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum — far stronger than the thin OEM battery skid
  • Adds only around 6 lbs to the vehicle
  • 3/16" zinc-plated steel mounting brackets resist corrosion
  • Countersunk bolts sit flush for a smooth bottom that slides over rock
  • Nuts pressed into the brackets allow one-tool removal for service
  • CNC laser cut and formed from factory CAD files for a precise fit
  • Gains ground clearance over the factory skid; made in the USA

Fits 2018-and-newer Jeep Wrangler JL models equipped with the 48V eTorque mild-hybrid battery — if your JL doesn't have eTorque, this isn't the skid for you. Note that it is not compatible with Artec's JL4118 exhaust skid, so plan your bellypan configuration before ordering both. It runs alongside other Artec JL armor like the JL Shield CAD Skid, and you'll find the rest of the range in our skid plates collection and the Artec Industries lineup.

eTorque Aluminum Battery Skid for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-Present FAQs

Does this fit my Jeep?

It fits 2018-and-newer Jeep Wrangler JL models equipped with the 48V eTorque mild-hybrid system. If your JL doesn't have eTorque, there's no underslung 48V battery to protect and this skid won't apply — check your engine option before ordering.

Can I run it with Artec's exhaust skid?

No. This eTorque battery skid is not compatible with the Artec JL4118 exhaust skid — the two occupy conflicting space. Plan your bellypan configuration around one or the other before buying both panels.

Is it hard to install or remove?

No welding and no drama. It bolts to factory mounting points with countersunk bolts, and nuts pressed into the 3/16" steel brackets mean the whole skid comes off with a single tool whenever the battery needs service.
