High Clearance Comp Rear Bumper for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+
The Artec Industries Bantam Series High Clearance Comp Rear Bumper is the maximum-clearance version of Artec's modular 3/16" steel rear bumper for the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020+). Where the No-Cut version works around the factory sheet metal, the Comp fitment trims the rear bedsides so the corner pods tuck in as tight as the platform allows — the configuration competition and hardcore trail rigs run when departure angle matters more than keeping the body stock. The center section comes in standard or tow-hook configurations, and the whole system bolts to the frame once the bedsides are trimmed.
Features
- 3/16" steel construction, CNC laser cut and formed
- Comp fitment: bedsides get trimmed for the tightest corner tuck and best departure angle
- Modular high-clearance center section, offered standard or with tow-hook provisions
- Bolt-on corner end pods, replaceable individually after trail damage
- Adds roughly 6.5" of ground clearance at the corners
- Optional add-ons: winch plate (up to 10,000 lb winch), 2" receiver, boatside, and skid protection
- Black powder coat or raw steel; made in the USA
Committing to cut bedsides is the trade for maximum clearance — if you want to keep the factory sheet metal, run the No-Cut High Clearance Rear Bumper instead. Build the system out with the rear winch fairlead mounting bracket and the modular 2-inch receiver, and see the full range of rear bumpers we carry.
High Clearance Comp Rear Bumper for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+ FAQs
Does the Comp bumper really require cutting my truck?
Yes. The Comp version is designed around trimmed rear bedsides so the corner pods can tuck in for maximum clearance — that cut is what separates it from the No-Cut version. If you are not ready to cut the factory sheet metal, choose the No-Cut High Clearance Rear Bumper instead; the clearance gain is similar but the tuck is less aggressive.
What is the difference between the standard and tow-hook center sections?
Both are the same high-clearance modular center; the tow-hook version adds provisions for tow hooks so you get a recovery point built into the middle of the bumper. Pick it if you recover from the rear often and do not plan to run the winch plate setup.
Can I add a rear winch or hitch later?
Yes. The system is modular — an optional winch plate rated up to a 10,000 lb winch pairs with the hawse-style fairlead mounting bracket, and the modular 2" receiver adds a hitch, license plate mount, and factory 7-pin trailer wiring relocation. You can start with the bumper and bolt on the add-ons as the build grows.
