TJ 1-Ton Front Dana 60 Swap Kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ, Cherokee XJ & ZJ

The TJ 1-Ton Front 60 Swap Kit is the bracket system that puts a kingpin or balljoint front Dana 60 under a Jeep Wrangler TJ or LJ, Cherokee XJ, Grand Cherokee ZJ, or Comanche MJ. Big tires and lockers eventually kill Dana 30 shafts and ball joints; a one-ton 60 ends that cycle, and this kit handles the hard part by putting every control arm, coil, sway bar, and shock mount in the right place on the new housing. The heavy truss and bracket set reinforces the axle while it converts it, so you end up with a front end built for abuse rather than a collection of guessed-at tabs.

• Coil perches and shock mounts run 1.6" wider per side; axle-side shock brackets delete the bar pin for a standard 1/2" bolt
• Anti-sway bar bracket sits about 2.5" higher than stock, so sway bar modifications may be needed

Confirm your donor axle first: this kit fits the 1985-1991.5 kingpin or 1992-1997 balljoint front Dana 60, not the 1978-1979 kingpin or 1999-up Super Duty versions, and it needs at least 4" of lift (5"+ recommended) plus new tie rod and drag link steering — the 60's 8-lug hubs also mean new wheels.
