Coachbuilder Power Steering Rack Poly Bushing Kit | Energy Suspension Hyper-Flex for 35"+ Tires | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 | Ekstrom Design
The Power Steering Rack Poly Bushing Kit replaces the soft factory rubber bushings in the rack-and-pinion housing of 2007–2021 Toyota Tundras with Energy Suspension performance polyurethane. Big tires change the math on a steering rack: 35" and larger rubber adds weight and leverage that the stock bushings were never asked to handle, letting the rack shift in its mounts and turning crisp inputs into vague ones. Polyurethane locates the rack solidly, helping eliminate the distortion that larger, heavier tires create — so steering input goes to the front tires instead of into flexing rubber. It's a straightforward upgrade for any lifted Tundra running oversized rubber, and a smart refresh for high-mileage trucks whose original bushings have gone soft.

Coachbuilder Power Steering Rack Poly Bushing Kit | Energy Suspension Hyper-Flex for 35"+ Tires | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007–2021 | Ekstrom Design FAQs
Will this kit fit my 2015 Tundra?
Yes — the kit fits all 2007–2021 Toyota Tundras. It replaces the rubber bushings where the power steering rack-and-pinion housing mounts to the truck, so it applies regardless of trim or drivetrain within those years.
Do I need this if I'm not running 35" tires?
The kit is at its best on trucks with 35" or larger tires, where the extra weight and leverage visibly distort the rack's soft factory rubber bushings. That said, original rubber bushings also soften with age and mileage, so a high-mileage 2007–2021 Tundra can pick up noticeably firmer steering response from polyurethane even on smaller tires.
What is the bushing material?
Energy Suspension's Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane — the proprietary formulation from the most established name in performance poly suspension components. It's far firmer than the factory rubber it replaces, which is what keeps the rack located under the loads big tires feed into it, and it's backed by Energy Suspension's limited warranty.
