Coachbuilder Steering Kit | For BulletProof 6"–8" & 10"–12" Lifts | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007+ | Ekstrom Design
BulletProof Suspension’s 6"–8" and 10"–12" Tundra lifts sit about as tall as the platform gets, and factory tie rod ends simply don’t have the travel or the strength to steer a truck at that height. Coachbuilder designed this steering kit specifically for those two BulletProof lift ranges on 2007+ Toyota Tundras. CNC-machined billet arms and heat-treated chromoly heim joints give the steering the travel and strength it needs without fluctuation in toe — the toe change that causes bump steer and uneven tire wear — and put a smooth, solid feel back in the steering wheel. The kit arrives fully assembled and ready to install.
Features
- Designed specifically for BulletProof 6"–8" and 10"–12" Tundra lift kits

- Ships fully assembled — made in the USA by Ekstrom Design and Fabrication
If your truck is on the 10"–12" kit and you want the whole supporting package — added lift, steering, driveline, and rack bushings in one order — the BulletProof 10"–12" Upgrade Kit bundles it all. On a BDS, Fabtech, ProComp, or Zone lift instead? That’s the BDS/ProComp/Zone Steering Kit. The Steering Kit Rebuild Kit covers the 6"–8" application when the joints need freshening — see all our steering and tie rod upgrades.
Coachbuilder Steering Kit | For BulletProof 6"–8" & 10"–12" Lifts | Fits Toyota Tundra 2007+ | Ekstrom Design FAQs
Will this work with my BulletProof lift?
Yes — it is designed specifically for BulletProof 6"–8" and 10"–12" lift kits on Toyota Tundra 2007+ models, and covers both lift ranges. It is not intended for BDS, Fabtech, ProComp, or Zone lifts; Coachbuilder builds a separate steering kit for those 4.5"–7" applications, and an OE Replacement kit for stock and mildly lifted trucks.
What comes in the box, and is anything else required?
You get a fully assembled Coachbuilder steering upgrade kit, ready to install: T6 7075 billet arms in hard black anodize, heat-treated 4130 chromoly heim joints that are Teflon lined, sealed, and greased, 303 stainless high-misalignment spacers, and hardened hardware. It is made in the USA by Ekstrom Design and Fabrication Corporation.
Are the joints rebuildable?
Yes — rebuildable joints are a core feature of every Coachbuilder steering kit, so a worn heim gets renewed rather than forcing a whole new kit. The Coachbuilder Steering Kit Rebuild Kit (forged 3-piece chromoly heim, misalignment spacers, boot, and hardware) is listed for the BulletProof 6"–8" application, sold as one unit per joint.
