Sterling 10.25 Rear Axle Truss

$419.99

The Artec Sterling 10.25 Rear Truss reinforces the Ford Sterling 10.25 — the heavy full-float rear end that makes such a strong, affordable one-ton swap. A 3/8" steel top plate spans the full housing on centered-differential axles, bracing the tubes end to end while its flat deck becomes the mounting surface for your upper links, about 9" off the axle centerline. A 1/4" ram mount and interlocked 1/4" gussets tie the structure together, and the whole assembly keeps a low profile so it tucks into a wide range of chassis. The design also lets you set the truss at multiple pinion angles during installation to suit your driveline.

Features

  • 3/8" steel truss top for serious full-width reinforcement
  • 1/4" steel ram mount and interlocked gussets
  • Flat top deck doubles as an upper-link mounting platform
  • Low profile places link joints roughly 9" from the axle centerline
  • Accommodates a range of pinion angles during setup
  • Fits centered-differential Sterling 10.25 housings; adapts to related Sterling housings with minor trimming
  • Precision CNC cut and bent for a close wrap on the housing

Confirm your Sterling has a centered differential before ordering; Artec notes the truss also works on the related 9.75" and 10.5" Sterling housings with minor trimming. Installation is weld-on and involves extensive welding and fabrication — plan to strip the axle, weld with care, and paint or powder coat the bare steel afterward. Add Truss Upper Link Mounts for the link side, compare other one-ton bracing like the AAM 11.5 Rear Truss and Dana 80 Rear Truss, or browse all axle reinforcements.

Sterling 10.25 Rear Axle Truss FAQs

Which Sterling axles does this truss fit?

It is designed for Ford Sterling 10.25 rear axles with a centered differential — the heavy full-float rear end that is a favorite one-ton swap. Artec notes it is also compatible with the related 9.75" and 10.5" Sterling housings with minor trimming. Check your differential position and housing before ordering.

Can I mount my suspension links to the truss?

Yes. The 3/8" top plate gives you a flat, strong deck that places upper-link joints about 9" from the axle centerline for good 3-link or 4-link geometry. Artec's Truss Upper Link Mounts are made to weld directly to it, and the design lets you set the truss to suit multiple pinion angles during installation.

What should I expect from the install?

This is a weld-on part that involves extensive welding and general fabrication skills — not a bolt-on. Plan to strip the axle, tack the interlocked pieces in place, and weld with careful heat control to keep the housing straight. The truss ships unpainted, so prep the bare steel for paint or powder coat once welding is done.
