This is Artec Industries' complete bracket-and-truss system for putting an Ultimate Dana 80 rear axle under a Jeep Gladiator JT. The bracketless UD80 crate housing ships bare, and this kit supplies everything that goes on it: the patented APEX peaked-top differential truss plus coil brackets, bump-stop pads, control-arm mounts, and shock mounts, all CNC laser cut from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel. Every bracket is located from factory data, so the 1-ton housing lands back in the JT's stock link, spring, sway-bar, and shock locations. It is the straightforward path for Gladiator owners who have outgrown the factory Dana 44.

Fits the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020 and up); you supply the Ultimate Dana 80 bracketless crate axle, which is not included. This is a weld-on kit, so setting pinion angle, centering the housing, and running the beads belongs with a competent welder. Does this kit include the axle?

No. It is the bracket and truss package only. You source the Spicer Ultimate Dana 80 bracketless crate rear axle separately — that housing ships with no suspension mounts at all, and this kit supplies the truss and every bracket needed to hang it under a Gladiator JT.

Will my factory JT suspension still work after the swap?

Yes. The brackets are located to the factory link, coil spring, anti-sway bar, and shock positions, so your existing suspension bolts back into the new 1-ton axle. There is no custom geometry to engineer, though lifted setups should confirm spring and shock lengths for the build.

How involved is the welding?

The truss and brackets all weld to the housing, so this is a fabrication-level project for a competent welder. Artec's peaked-top APEX design and pre-bent seams cut required welding by roughly 70% versus a traditional bracket-by-bracket swap, which keeps heat and warping down.
