The JT 1-Ton UD80 APEX Rear Axle Swap Kit is Artec Industries' suspension bracket package for hanging a Spicer Ultimate Dana 80 bracketless crate axle under the Jeep Gladiator JT. The bare crate housing arrives with no mounts at all, and these CNC-cut 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel brackets — coil brackets, bump-stop pads, control-arm mounts, and shock mounts — locate the 1-ton axle to the JT's factory suspension pickup points. This is the kit for Gladiator owners on 40-inch-plus tires who have outgrown the stock Dana 44 and want to keep the factory link-and-coil arrangement rather than build a custom rear end.

Fits the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020-present); the UD80 crate axle is sourced separately, and welding is required, so plan on a capable fabricator setting pinion angle and centering before final beads. Is the APEX truss included in this kit?

No — this is the suspension bracket package on its own, priced for builders who already own the UD80 APEX rear truss or are sourcing it separately. If you still need the truss, Artec's JT 1-Ton UD80 APEX Rear Axle Swap Kit & Truss bundles both, and the price difference is essentially the truss itself.

Does the kit come with the axle?

No. It is designed around the Spicer Ultimate Dana 80 bracketless crate rear axle, which you purchase separately. That housing ships completely bare, and this bracket set is what locates it to the Gladiator's factory link, coil, sway-bar, and shock positions.

What skills does the install require?

The brackets weld to the axle housing, so this is a fabrication-level job. You will need competent MIG welding plus the ability to center the axle, set pinion angle, and verify bracket placement before final welding. The APEX system's fixture points make alignment more straightforward than a freehand bracket swap.
