1-Ton UD80 APEX Rear Axle Swap Kit for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018+
The JL 1-Ton UD80 APEX Rear Axle Swap Kit is Artec Industries' bracket-only package for mounting an Ultimate Dana 80 rear axle under the Jeep Wrangler JL, sold without the differential truss for builders who already have one or plan to add it separately. CNC-cut from 1/4" and 3/16" mild steel, the coil brackets, bump-stop pads, and control-arm and shock mounts position the 1-ton crate housing at the JL's factory link, spring, sway-bar, and shock locations. The result: a full-width, big-tire-ready rear axle that runs the Wrangler's stock-style suspension instead of a ground-up custom link setup.

Why doesn't this kit include the truss?
It is priced for builders who already own the UD80 APEX rear truss or are buying it on its own schedule. The truss is still required to complete a link build on the UD80 — if you need both, the JL 1-Ton UD80 APEX Rear Axle Swap Kit & Truss bundles them together.
Will my factory JL suspension bolt to the new axle?
Yes. The brackets are designed around the factory link, spring, anti-sway bar, and shock locations, so your existing components reattach in their stock geometry once the brackets are welded to the UD80 housing. Confirm shock and spring lengths if your Jeep runs a lift.
Is the Ultimate Dana 80 axle part of this purchase?
No. The kit contains the mounting brackets only. The Spicer Ultimate Dana 80 bracketless crate rear axle is sourced separately and arrives as a bare housing, which is exactly why this bracket set exists — it supplies the mounts the crate axle lacks.
