Front Axle Truss for Jeep Cherokee XJ 1984-2001 (High Pinion Dana 30)
The Artec Front Axle Truss for the Jeep Cherokee XJ is a weld-on brace for the high-pinion Dana 30 that lives under every 1984-2001 Cherokee. Once you add lift, 33s or larger, and real trail miles, the long tube on that housing starts to bow — this truss ties the long and short tubes together across the top of the axle to stop the bending before it starts. Because it doubles as a mounting platform, it is also the foundation for a proper three-link or long-arm front end, with optional upper control arm mounts built right in.
Features
- 1/4" truss top backed by interlocking 10-gauge (.130") mild steel gussets
- Spans both the long and short sides of the housing, not just the long tube
- Low-profile shape preserves room above the axle for driveline and suspension
- Precision CNC cut and bent so the pieces self-locate during weld-up
- Offered truss-only, with Daystar bushing mounts, or with RockJock Johnny Joint mounts
- Daystar version favors a quiet, compliant ride; RockJock version maximizes articulation
Confirm you have the XJ’s high-pinion Dana 30 before ordering — the low-pinion housings under the TJ, LJ, and ZJ take the Front Axle Truss for TJ, LJ, ZJ instead. This is a bare-steel weld-on part, so paint it after installation and leave the welding to someone competent with axle housings. Round out the housing with a set of Inner C Gussets, and see our full range of axle trusses and reinforcements.
