The Artec Industries Chevy Dana 60 Front Ram Mount and Truss packages full-length housing reinforcement and a protected full-hydraulic ram mount into one weldment for the GM kingpin front 60. The 3/8" steel truss top spans the axle to stop tube flex, while the 1/4" ram mount hangs the steering ram low and inline, tied into the truss with a 1/4" bridge and doubling as an axle skid plate. A bolt-on plate in front of the differential unbolts for gear changes, and the kit ships with the required hardware plus an extra gusset for welding on the removable skid.

Verify a Chevy/GM front Dana 60 with 3.5" tubes before ordering, and set your pinion angle and truss level carefully during fit-up — this is a weld-on, bare-steel assembly that gets tacked, stitch-welded with controlled heat, and painted. If you are not running full hydro, the Chevy 60 Front Truss is the truss-only version. What do I need to check before ordering?

Confirm your axle is a Chevy/GM front Dana 60 with 3.5" diameter tubes — the truss contour and ram-mount angle are cut for that housing, and Ford and Dodge 60s use different Artec versions. The assembly spans the full axle length, so also confirm your housing has not been narrowed in a way that changes fit.

Which hydraulic rams fit the mount?

PSC Motorsports and Howe Performance double-ended rams — Artec has tested 2.5" and 2.75" PSC models. The mount places the ram so its shaft and the tie rod run inline, and the 1/4" bridge plus skid-plate design protect the ram from trail damage.

What is included and what does installation take?

The kit includes the full-length truss, hydraulic ram mount, a bolt-on skid plate for the front of the differential, an extra gusset for welding the removable skid, and the required hardware. Installation is weld-on work for a skilled fabricator: set pinion angle, level and tack the truss, then stitch-weld with controlled heat. Paint the bare steel when finished.
