This is a one-piece ring that sits on the rim of the fuel spout on a Ram 1500 RHO. It is a small detail, but it is one you see every time you fuel up, and the color choices let you match the body, go to chrome or black it out. Options include OE-matched colors, liquid chrome, matte black and carbon fiber.
Tufskinz calls this its domed construction, and every piece is built in three layers. A UV doming resin on top gives the raised, glossy, scratch-resistant surface, standing about 4 mm proud. Beneath it is a colored substrate that can be real carbon fiber, chrome, camouflage or a factory-matched color, and the back carries 3M automotive-grade adhesive for the bond to the vehicle. Raw real carbon fiber is the one exception and sits about 1 mm proud.
