The STILLEN TruPower Cold Air Intake replaces the restrictive factory airbox and tube on half-ton GM trucks with a sealed, low-temperature airbox and a straight-shot tube. STILLEN released its Cold Air Scoop for these trucks in 2019, and this is the full intake owners kept asking about. It quotes gains of 15 WHP and 12 lb-ft on the intake alone, and up to 24 WHP and 21 lb-ft when paired with the STILLEN TruPower Cold Air Scoop where applicable. Results may vary.
The airbox draws air from behind the headlight, inside an opening in the frame rails, which STILLEN identified as the coldest location in the engine bay through thermal mapping. From there a rotational cast polyethylene tube replaces the OEM unit's baffles, resonators and turbulence-inducing chambers. The washable, reusable filter comes oiled or dry, with a dual-flange design that seals it to the airbox, and a clear polycarbonate lid lets you check its condition without tools. Beta testers reported 1 to 2 MPG better real-world fuel economy.
Fitment
Fits the 2019 and newer Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L or 6.2L EcoTec3 V8. STILLEN also lists the same intake for 2021 and newer Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban and Escalade models with those engines. Choose your engine and filter type from the options. Not for sale in California.
What's included
The kit includes the airbox, intake tube, filter, couplers, PCV hoses, a MAF sensor extension harness and a rubber MAF gasket, so it is plug-and-play.
