This modular front bumper system for the INEOS Grenadier and Quartermaster combines a winch mount, skid plate and bullbar into one front-end protection package. The winch mount is rated for a 13,500 lb. winch, and it is set in a monocoque center section with room for auxiliary, fog or driving lights.
The bumper is heat-treated, high-strength steel, which the vendor says is over twice the strength of typical mild steel, so it can save weight while resisting dents. Laser welding gives full penetration with a much smaller heat-affected zone than traditional welding, which limits warping. The finish is three steps: media blasting, E-coat primer and textured black powder coat, with custom colors available on request.
Beyond the steel, there are cooling details: the lower radiator air inlet redirects airflow to keep mud and debris from clogging the radiator, with more airflow to the two auxiliary coolers to compensate, and the engine coolant and transfer case coolers are moved up and inward to reduce damage risk. Removable front and rear covers make cleaning easier. The outer wings are triangulated tubular bumperettes linked to the frame's steering box mount, and a lower crossbar below the radiator adds strength to the factory skid plate mounts.
