This is a 3/4 inch screw pin D-ring shackle with a black powder coat finish and a working load limit of 4.75 tons (9,500 lbs). It is the D-ring Agency 6 pairs with its standard 2 inch shackle blocks, and it works as a general recovery shackle too.
The body is 1045 carbon steel and the pin is 40Cr alloy steel, so the body and pin use different steel grades. The shackle is built to a 5:1 design factor, and the pin is a 7/8 inch screw pin.
As with any recovery hardware, the rating that matters is the lowest one in the whole setup, including the vehicle, the receiver and whatever it is attached to. A 9,500 lb shackle does not make a weaker block or hitch any stronger.
Fitment
Universal. It is used with Agency 6 standard 2 inch shackle blocks. It is not vehicle-specific.
