About National Luna

National Luna traces its start to 1990, when it bid on a World Health Organisation project. It grew into one of South Africa's larger 12-volt manufacturers, building fridge/freezers, lighting and battery-management gear for camping, 4x4, trucking, marine and emergency-vehicle use.

Products are developed and built in South Africa and sold across Europe, the UK, Australia and North America. Among overlanders the name mostly means two things: stainless fridge/freezers and dual-battery kits.

What we carry from National Luna

Fridge/freezers from 35L to 125L in single- and dual-zone versions, with protection jackets, base plates, 12V cords and power supplies to match. If it's going in the back, pair it with a fridge slide.

On the power side: NLDC DC-DC chargers, dual battery kits, solenoids, battery monitors and boxes, plus portable power packs and distribution boxes. The small parts matter too, so we stock 29mm panel-mount sockets, meters and switches, 12V plugs, fuse holders, couplers and wiring in our electrical section, along with camp lights. All of it is universal 12V gear rather than vehicle-specific.

How to choose

Size the fridge to your space and the charging to your system, in that order.

• Measure the outside, not just the liters. The larger Legacy Smart QC fridges use 60mm insulation, so check external dimensions against your cargo area or slide.
• Single or dual zone: dual-zone models run a fridge and a freezer compartment at different temperatures; single-zone units are one compartment.
• Smart QC means app control. Legacy Smart QC fridges connect to the NL Connect Bluetooth app for monitoring and control.
• Match the charger to the system. The NLDC-25 and NLDC-40 carry different amp ratings; add the matching cables and fuse holders.

National Luna warranty

National Luna offers a 3-year limited warranty from the date of purchase on its products unless stated otherwise, fridge/freezers and dual battery systems included. Bulbs, fuses, cooling fans, wear items and accessories aren't covered, and neither is spoiled food.
