The Essential Build // 3 Bike 1 Moto is for riders who split time between pedals and a throttle. Three bike mounts and one motorcycle mount share a single Base Rack, so shuttle days, race weekends, and moto trips all run off the same system — and mounts swap out when the plan changes. World Champion downhill racer Jackson Goldstone runs this rack to haul up to six bikes for shuttle laps, then swaps mounts to load the dirt bike instead.

Beds from 4'10" to 8' long — fitment runs by bed size rather than year, make, or model, so most mid-size and full-size pickups qualify. Measure your bed length before ordering, and check the current Big Days fitment details if your truck sits at either end of that range.
How much weight can it haul?
Big Days rates the Chase Rack System at up to 900 pounds — plenty for three mountain bikes and a dirt bike at once. Drop brackets and the lower bike-stability bar steady the bicycles, while the motorcycle mount includes two tie-down points to lock the dirt bike upright.
How is the Essential Build different from the Starter and Pro builds?
Essential is the mixed-use middle tier. It starts with the same Base Rack as the Starter Build, then adds three bike mounts, drop brackets with a lower stability bar, and the in-bed motorcycle ramp. Pro builds go further with offset kits, fuel and water storage, and lighting for full chase-truck duty.
